Engulfified

I HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE

I'M JUST A VULNERABLE SOUL

BUT YOU THINK I LIED...

YOUR EYES PEER INSIDE

I LOSE CONTROL

AND THE SIGHT OF MY GOAL

Dream Catcher,
DO YOU EVER RELEASE?
Insomnia,
WILL YOU EVER CEASE?
Noise,
FIND ME SOME PEACE
FIND IT IN THE SMALLEST CREASE OF THE JOURNEY

I WANT TO LOSE MY MIND
BUT THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING TO REMIND ME,
SOMETHING TO BIND ME TO MY OWN MORTALITY

Check it. Just yesterday, I read this about Poet Laureate, Kay Ryan: She wasn't afraid to rhyme, or to stick the rhyme midline ("Babel is kinder/than this reminder, this"). So, go you :o)

She also said she reads poetry for the "remote feeling of company" the sense of being at once together and alone. ("It takes two points/to make a distance," one of her poems slyly puts it.)

  2. Google makes you type a captcha to post a comment. Mine just now? blecoph. I say that if anyone criticizes our poetry (criticize vs. comment), we yell "Blecoph!!!"
